I have read and agree to the A1 Real Estate School Terms of Service Agreement and NJ Real Estate Commission disclosure shown on this registration form

This agreement is entered into by and between A1 Real Estate School (the “School”) and the person named on this registration (the “Classroom Guest”). The term of this agreement shall begin on the day the registrant makes the first payment and shall continue through its termination date of the class for which they are registering.

The “School” agrees:
1) To adequately prepare each classroom guest for the New Jersey Real Estate License Exam by offering an education that is comprehensive, meaningful, and productive.
2) To provide the course education required by the New Jersey Real Estate Commission.
3) To electronically certify to PSI Services, LLC the eligibility of every classroom guest who passes the school’s final exam with a minimum 70% score and has met the attendance requirements.
4) To provide the classroom guest with information regarding the scheduling of the State License Exam and Fingerprinting, and the procedures required for obtaining licensure.
5) To abide by the Statute and Rules as found in the New Jersey Real Estate License Act, Subchapter 2: Education (11:5-2.1)

The classroom guest agrees:
1) To pay the tuition for the course in full prior to the starting date, and to adhere to the policies regarding attendance, class participation, homework, behavior and refunds.
2) To carefully read the Screening Questions and the Disclosure of a Prior Criminal Conviction notice, and to contact the Investigation Unit of the N. J. Real Estate Commission with any questions.
3) To fulfill all requirements for the successful completion of the Salesperson Pre-Licensure Course as stated in the School Policy, especially with regards to attendance.
4) To take the NJ State Licensing Exam, be fingerprinted, and apply for a license through a sponsoring real estate broker within one year from the expiration date of this course.

SCHOOL POLICY
Each applicant should carefully read the following items prior to filling out the registration form for the New Jersey Salesperson Pre-Licensure course. These conditions, standards, and regulations will not only determine your eligibility for taking the course, but they will also explain licensing requirements prescribed by New Jersey statute and rules.
1: An applicant who wants to obtain a real estate salesperson license must be at least 18 years of age, a high school graduate (or GED equivalent), and possess good character, trustworthiness, honesty, and integrity. In order to fulfill all licensing requirements and become eligible for taking the state licensing examination, the applicant must complete a 75-hour pre-licensure course, pass the school’s final exam with a minimum 70% score, and be present at least 80% of the total course.
2: An applicant must be a citizen of the United States or legally present in this country. If you successfully complete all requirements for licensure, including passing a state license exam, at the time you apply for the license you may be asked to provide documentation confirming your citizenship or legal presence in the United States.
3: An applicant must carefully read the Screening Questions and Disclosure of a Prior Criminal Convention that will be given to you on the first day of the course. These are personal questions and are for your information only. You will be able to review these questions at the conclusion of the pre-licensure course and again when taking the state license exam. False responses in and of themselves, may form a basis for the denial of an application or the revocation of a license issued in reliance upon false information. In addition, all candidates for New Jersey Real Estate Licenses are required to complete a fingerprinting process. If you have any questions or doubts about how you should answer one or more of the screening questions or any question regarding a prior conviction, you may contact the Investigation Unit of the NJ Real Estate Commission at 609-292-7272 extension 50383.
4: Classroom guests must complete all required hours of classroom instruction and pass the school’s final examination to be eligible to take the state examination. In the event a classroom guest drops out of the class prior to taking the final exam, the school cannot provide any refund.
A classroom guest who fails to attain a passing score of at least 70% on the school's final examination will be allowed to retake a different final exam up to three additional times for a fee of $25 for each retake.
5: An applicant who successfully completes the pre-licensure course must contact PSI Services, LLC to make a reservation to take the state license exam. Examination site locations and all other pertinent information for taking the exam can be found in the PSI Candidate Information Bulletin, which will be provided to you by your instructor. After passing the state license exam, each candidate will review the information provided by your instructor for contacting the fingerprinting vendor.
6: A classroom guest who cancels their course more than seven days prior to the first day of the course for which they registered will receive a full refund minus a $50 administrative charge. A classroom guest who cancels less than seven days prior to the first day of class will receive no refund. A classroom guest who no-shows for a course or who cancels after the course begins will receive no refund.
7: Garden State Real Estate Academy is not owned by any real estate company, affiliate, or franchise. Our instructors will not attempt to recruit classroom guests, nor will the school allow real estate brokers to use school premises or class time to recruit our classroom guests. If a real estate company is mentioned by an instructor, it will only be in response to a classroom guest’s question or given as an example, such as naming two brokers in a transaction to illustrate a point regarding the importance of broker cooperation.
8) For classroom guests who take the salesperson pre-licensing classes digitally, such as by Zoom, their cameras must remain on throughout the class. All cameras must remain on and focused on the student's face at all times during the final exam as state regulations required these exams to be proctored. Any student who refers to notes, textbooks, or who does not have their camera on during the final exam will be disqualified.
Please note! You must pass the state license exam within one year from the completion date of this course. You must also be fingerprinted and apply for a license through a sponsoring real estate broker within this one-year time limit. Anyone who does not fulfill these obligations must retake the 75-hour pre-licensure course.
